There is None Holy as the Lord

"There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God." 1 Samuel 2; 2

Holy! Holy! Holy! Lord God almighty! Great is our God, and greatly to be praised!
"Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed." 1 Samuel 2:3
"The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength." 1 Samuel 2:4 5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble." 1 Samuel 2: 4-5

"The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up." 1 Samuel 2:6

1 Samuel 2:7-8 KJV
7 " The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. 8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them." 1 Samuel 2: 7-8
"He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail." 1 Samuel 2:9

10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed." 1 Samuel 2: 9-10

Two Are Beter Than One

"Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. " Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10

The Bible teaches us about the Friend who sticks closer than a brother, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Woe to him that is alone, for if we are alone and helpless we are in a bad situation, but if we have accepted Christ , and have a personal relationship with him, he lives in us and has promised to never leave us and to be an ever present help in time of trouble.

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalm 23:6

Fear Not

Fear Not

Thus saith the LORD to Israel, through the prophet Isaiah, at a time when they were in great distress and fear of their enemy.
"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." Isaiah 40:8

The word and promises which God has spoken to Israel and to the nations of the world a long time ago were meant to stand forever . Forever means yesterday, today and tomorrow, and forever. Therefore, when we fear being shipwrecked on the angry sea of life, or destroyed by our enemy, we are admonished to be quiet; to renew our mind; and to cast our anchor out on the solid rock of God's eternal promises.

If we will draw near to God, he will draw near to us. Let us be of one mind as brothers and sisters as the children of God in the house of God and plead our case before God and seek his righteous judgment, and help one another. "Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment." Isaiah 41:1
"They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage." Isaiah41:6
"For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee." Isaiah 41: 13

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isaiah 41:10
"Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish." Isaiah 41:11
"Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought." Isaiah 41: 12

Be Slow to Wrath

Be Slow to Wrath

Every new day, we all need to pause for awhile, and take a good look at ourselves in our spiritual mirror to examine ourselves o see what kind of people we truly are.

In which of these categories do we rightly belong?

Are we soon angry - hasty of spirit - do we exalt folly? - or are we people,slow of wrath, of great understanding?
"He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly." Proverbs 14: 29

Are we like wise men that fear God and depart from evil , or are we like the fool that rages and is arrogantly confident that there is no god to fear?

"A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident." Proverbs 14

Do we soon get angry and deal foolishly. Do we hold grudges , and refuse to forgive those who have wronged us, and do we devise ways to get even?
"He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated."Proverbs 14:17

How do we use our tongue and our lips?

Are our mouths constantly full of pride and boasting of our own self righteousness and achievements, not considering that all we are and all that we have are the gifts from God and his grace.
"In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them."Proverbs 14: 3

Let us daily consider these these things, and if need be, to make any changes in our life or attitude to preserve the spiritual well being of ourselves and others.

Fervent in Spirit

The bible tells us who are the members of the body of Christ that we ought to be fervent in spirit. To be fervent means to be hot and glowing, intense in our desire and efforts to use whatever gifts and abilities that the Lord has bestowed on us to serve him, but on the other hand, we ought not to covert enviously the gifts and abilities of other members of the body of Christ, but we are to work together as one body, helping and loving one another, and being not slothful in the business of the Lord as we would not want to be slothful in our worldly business.
"For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith." Romans 12: 3

"For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:" Romans 12:4

"So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;" Romans 12: 5-6

"Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;"Romans 12: 7

"Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness." Romans 12:8

"Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good." Romans 12: 8-9

Romans 12:8-10 "Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;" Romans 12: 10

"Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;" Romans 12: 11
