Daily Bible Verse
If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Thought For Today - May 4
First Things First!
By: Robert A. Searles
"To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity. to give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. a wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: to understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverb 1: 3-7.
We ought to discipline ourselves to meet with God the first thing we do every new day to receive from God the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment and equity: we ought to be quiet before God and allow him to speak to us So that we might have a healthy respect for God and acknowledge him as our beginning and our Savior and our hope for all eternity.
