Thought For Today – November 4
What Shall We Render Unto The Lord?
“What shall we render unto the
Lord for all his benefits toward us ? Psalm 116: 12. How could we
ever hope to repay God for his mercy, his love, his salvation and
every good thing which he has given to us.?
When we count our blessings
instead of our problems, we are made aware of the fact that the
goodness and mercy of God out weighs all our difficulties. God is
ever ready to hear and answer our faintest supplication when we call
upon him in truth. He is an ever present help in the time of
trouble. He is ready, willing, and able to forgive all our sins and
to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The only thing that we can render
to God that will be acceptable unto him is a contrite broken spirit,
a heart filled with gratitude and praise, and complete trust in our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We ought to daily and momentarily
offer our bodies to the Lord which is our reasonable service, and
“take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord, and
pay our vows unto the Lord in the presence of all his people, and
offer to him the sacrifice of thanksgiving and call upon the name of
the Lord.” Psalm 116: 12-17.
“Whosoever shall call upon he
name of the Lord shall be saved.”
