Daily Bible Verse
The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men. Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish."
Isaiah 29:13-14 (NIV)

Wait For the Lord!
Thought For Today - May 3
Wait for the Lord!
By: Robert A. Searles
"The Lord is my light and my salvation: whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27: 1
"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Psalm 27:14.
Wait patiently for the salvation of God. - "I have waited for thy salvation, O Lord." Gen: 49: 18.
Sometimes when we pray and ask God for something, our request are not immediately granted. Sometimes there is a delay and a time span between our request, and God granting that request, even though it may be the will and intention of God to grant that for which we have asked him
Sometimes we grow weary in our waiting for God to come to our rescue, and we question in our minds whether we should wait for it any longer as was the question asked in 2 Kings 6:33.
But we are reminded that: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40: 31.
God grant that we shall have the faith and patience of Job and say with him: "If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come." Job 14:14
