God's Promise of Joy
By: Robert A. Searles
God has plainly revealed to us in his word the paths of life we must follow if we are to experience all the fullness of joy that he has planned for us.
"Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy: at thy right hand there are pleasures forever more." Psalm 16:11
"Enter ye in at the strait gate:for wide is the gate, and broad the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be that go in thereat. Math 7:13
"Strive to enter in at the strait gate;for many I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up and shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and knock on the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us: and he shall answer and say unto you , I knew you not whence ye are." Luke 13: 23, 25
"O satisfy us early with thy mercy that we may rejoice and be glad all our days." Psalm 90:14
"Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?" Psalm 85: 6
"If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my father's commandments and abide in his love." John 15: 10
"These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full."
"Hitherto have ye asked me nothing in my name. Ask and ye shall receive that your joy may be full." John 16:24
" And ye now therefore have sorrows; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man shall take from you." John 16:22
"That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of Gold that perisheth though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 1:7
"Whom having not seen ye love, in whom though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory." 1 Peter 1:8
