 God's Advice When We Struggle  With Laziness

Go to the ant, thou sluggard, consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer,or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer' and gathereth her food in the harvest.How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of  the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man." Prov 6: 6-11

"He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame" Prov 10: 4-5

"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise. Redeeming the time, because the days  are evil ." Ephes 5: 15-16

"And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you: That ye may walk honestly toward men that are without, and ye may have lack of nothing." 1 Thes 4: 11-12

"Now we command you brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that  ye withdraw yourselves from every  brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. For yourselves know how ye ought  to follow us for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travil night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an  ensample unto you to follow us. for even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.  For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.  Now them  that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. But ye brethren, be not weary in well doing. And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no  company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother." 2 Thes 3: 6-15
