Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Thought For Today - February 4 - -
OUR DIVINE KEEPER !- -

For the child of God, God our Father is our divine keeper. From the moment we are saved, until we arrive in heaven, we are kept in the palm of his hand, as it were, and no one can pluck us out of his care. Christ prayed for his own that they would be kept in the Father’s name. Jesus said: “And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee, Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be as we are.” John 17:11.
He prayed that we would be kept in safety. “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.” John 17:12.
We are kept in joyfulness: “And now come I to thee and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.” John 17:13.
Jesus keeps us in purity: “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil”. John 17:15.
We are kept separated from the world. “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. He sets us apart and sanctifies us from the world so that we might glorify him and bring forth fruit for his glory. He gives us work to do and keeps us active in his service, and we are kept for his coming and glory that we might be found in him holy and acceptable before God our Father.
“Sanctify them through thy truth, thy word is truth. As thou has sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.” John 17: 17,18 “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word, that they all may be one, as thou Father art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” John 17: 20,21. “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them that they may be one, even as we are one. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them as thou hast loved me. Father I will that they also whom thou has given me, be with me where I am: that they may behold my glory which thou has given me; for thou lovedest me before the foundation of the world.” John 17: 22,23,24.
God our Father will surely honor the request of his only begotten son; therefore, we could not have any greater security than this. We are kept and are being kept by our divine keeper. Not only is he our keeper, but he is also our constant companion and sleepless watchman.
“And behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest; and will bring thee again into this land, for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of” Psalm 34:20
He is our protecting Father and our almighty guardian. “For the which cause I also suffer these things; nevertheless, I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” 2 Timothy 1:12. - -
