A Nation Blessed

Read Psalm 33 

A year has passed and a  new regime has been inaugurated in Washington. Will our nation be blessed? Will God look down from heaven and see his people in control of our great land? Will our leaders call upon the Lord God of heaven and earth for wisdom to make important decisions in the lives and affairs of men? Is the infallible word of God, the holy bible, the compass for our nation to lead us through these troubled waters? Or, will we chose to forget God and his guidance, and be cast into hell as the scriptures warn? “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all nations that forget God “ Psalm 9: 17. Or, will we have reason for rejoicing as we are promised by the holy writ - “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule the people mourn.” Proverbs 29: 2.

“Righteousness exalteth a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people.” Proverbs 14: 34.
I pray that in the days ahead, we the people, will have cause for rejoicing and praising God. I pray that when God looks down from heaven he will see righteousness prevailing in our government, and that he will be pleased to bless us.

“Rejoice in the Lord, o ye righteous; for praise is comely for the upright.” Psalm 33:1.

“For the word of the Lord is right; and his works are done in truth.” Psalm 33:4.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. Psalm33:12. " There is no king saved by the multitude of an host; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. An horse is a vain thing for safety; neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. Behold, the eyes of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy, to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine.” Psalm 33: 16-19.
