God's Promise of Everlasting Life
By: Robert A. Searles
" For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the
latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this
body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and
mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed
within me." Job 9: 25-27
God has promised everlasting life to
all who will believe him. How wonderful if we could all have the sure
confidence and assurance that Job of old prophesied. We can if we will
confess our sins; accept Christ as our Savior who is the only way to God
our Father; and place our trust and faith completely in his promises.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life." John 3:16
"And this is the will of him that
sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may
have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." John
6:40
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they
shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
John 10: 28
"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we
shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the
last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed." 1 Corinthians 15: 51-52
"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we
ever be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4: 17
If you have not done so already dear reader, won't you claim these promises of God, and have the assurance of Job?
