A Call to Worship
By: Robert A. Searles
"O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker." Psalm 95: 6
When should we worship God? God is worthy of our constant and continual worship. We need to always be mindful and aware of our source of existence., and his extended love for us in his plan for our salvation. by his mercy and grace. When we awake the first thing each new day, our thoughts and desires ought to immediately be centered on God our creator. We ought to remember and rehearse in our mind all the blessing and help we have received from him, yesterday, and all the days before, that he has allowed us to live thus far, and offer our praise and thanksgiving, and look forward to the day before us
What is worship? I believe that the act of worship is the placing of an object of our worship in the highest place and pinnacle of our thoughts and imagination, and a person or thing that we think that we cannot do without.
We ought to approach God our FATHER in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ ,and bring to him an acceptable offering of praise, and offer ourselves to him in our physical body here on earth to serve him and bring glory to his name.
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12: 1
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. " Romans 12: 2
"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him." John 1: 23
" God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in the Spirit
"Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
"Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture."
"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations."Psalm 100: 1-5
