No Condemnation!
By: Robert A. Searles
The bible tells us that there are at least two real realms of existence. The natural realm - that of the physical world in which we have our being here on earth - material substance, our body, and things which can be seen, touched, smelled , felt and of which we can spend our entire lives trying to satisfy , fulfill and enjoy, but only for a brief season, because every thing that is material is corruptible and will eventually decay and be gone.
The bible also tells us that the world of the spirit - things which truly exists but are invisible and cannot be seen by us are more real than the material universe which can be seen and observed. God is spirit and has eternal existence and dwells in the spirit world called heaven along with other principalities and powers which wage war with God and his redeemed saints. Heaven is God's headquarters from where he commanded everything in the natural realm to come into existence. Everything, including human life , has it's beginning in the spirit-in the mind of God.
One day God so loved his highest natural creation, mankind, that he stepped out of the spirit world and entered the natural in the person of Jesus Christ to offer himself as the perfect lamb of God to forgive our sins and give to us an eternal home in the spirit world in his presence forever.
When we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior, he sends his spirit to live within us, and take over the Lordship over our lives, which means that our whole lifestyle is changed to reflect his glory and bring us into obedience to his will. Sometimes the new life we have received from Christ does not seem to be logical to all that is natural , and our carnal minds rebel and there is turmoil and rebellion in our soul.
We sincerely want to live in the spirit, but we also want to live in the natural and please the flesh., what can we do? So we cry out to God for help.
"O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" Romans 7: 24
"For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit" Romans 8: 5.
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.Romans 7: 25
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Romans 8: 1
