The Salt of the Earth

 Our LORD paid a terrible price for our redemption and salvation, and he expects us as the children of God to stand apart from the world, the flesh, and the devil, even if we must stand alone at times, and add some righteous seasoning to the heathen culture which surrounds us.

We must not allow ourselves to grow so weak in our faith and convictions  so that  our saltiness is watered down and becomes weak in Christian flavor that we become useless and good for nothing  and we are trampled upon by the un - Godly.

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

Likewise Jesus expects us to be a bright shining light .  We must be bold in our proclamation of the truth of the gospel , and never be ashamed to name the name of Jesus, and with our mouth to be constantly praising him aloud for all to hear.

 The Light of the World "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
