 Christ sets us free!
 By: Robert A. Searles
Satan likes to bind us and imprison us with divers kinds of
infirmity and troubles, to keep us from serving and glorifying   God.
But Jesus sees our bondage and imprisonment, and calls us to himself to
believe him, and trust and obey him, and when we respond to his loving
call, he sets us free.
Satan
cannot hold that which Christ has freed. When we are at last set free
from Satan 's hold on us, whether it be sin, lack of faith, or physical
sickness or infirmities, or the oppression of our spiritual enemies,
Christ our Lord expects us to use our new found freedom and energy, and
strength to serve and glorify him.

Jesus saw a helpless person who was bound with a physical infirmity.
Jesus called the helpless person to himself. Jesus set her free. She
used her new found freedom and energy to serve and glorify God.
 "And
behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen
years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And
when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman,
thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and
immediately she was made straight, and glorified God." Luke 13:11-13.
Let us seek to glorify and serve God with the freedom that Christ has provided for us.
