Stand Still!- Listen! - Wait!

God speaks, but we do not hear because we do not diligently listen. God speaks to us through his word, by the Holy Spirit, in a still small calm voice, but it is difficult to hear and discern the voice of our creator amidst all the noise which surrounds us.
As we begin each new day, we need to stand still and behold the glory of God in all his creation. We need to hide ourselves away in the secret place which God has provided for us according to Psalm 91, and we need to be still; close our mouth; and open our ears; as God speaks to our heart by the indwelling Holy Spirit; then we need to hide in our heart all that God reveals to us, and wait patiently for him to perform all his wondrous promises in our lives.
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”Psalm 46:10
"The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He
maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow,
and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah." Psalm 46: 7-11
Isaiah 40:31 - "But
they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall
mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and
they shall walk, and not faint."
Job 37:14 - "Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God"
Exodus 14:13 - "And
Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the
salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the
Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see again no more for
ever."
1 Samuel 12:7 - " Now
therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD of
all the righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to you and to your
fathers."
