A Lively Hope!
By: Robert A. Searles
As { arise this morning from my sleep to face a new day with all the potential problems, fears and anxieties that I may have to deal with today, may my first thoughts be of the glory and majesty of God my heavenly father, and praise and thank him for the lively hope he has given me by the death, burial, and resurrection of his son, the LORD Jesus Christ. He has caused me to be born again as a redeemed child of God, and according to the word of God, the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in me, so I have a lively hope. How about you?
" “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”1Peter 1:3-
"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." Romans 8:11
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" Ephesians 1:3-
"Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures." James 1:18
" Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Romans 15:13
" For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? " Romans 8:24
" Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;" Romans 12:12
"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Romans 15:13)
"Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:" 1 Peter 1: 1-6
