Expect Great Things From God!
“I am the Lord thy God, which
brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide and I will
fill it.” Pslm 81: 10
God has delivered us, and set us
free from the bondage of Satan, and the market place of sin and
slavery. He has promised to care for us and supply all our needs.
Coming out of Egypt is a picture
of being delivered out of a lost condition, and becoming saved. God
went to great expense to save us and bring us out of bondage to
Satan. He gave his only begotten son, and spilled divine blood.
That which he purchased at great expense will be kept, polished and
nurtured, and preserved. Having been purchased with so great a
sacrifice, think it not otherwise, but that the Lord will keep,
polish, nurture and preserve us, his redeemed children unto himself
forever. Therefore, we ought to look for, and expect great things
from God.
The wide open mouth of a young
bird is in great expectation of it being filled by the mother bird.
It pleases God greatly when we look to him for all our needs and
expect without shadow of doubt that he will fill our mouths with good
things.
