Husbands, Love Your Wives !
By: Robert A. Searles
God's plan for the family is for one man, and one woman, whom he, God, would cause to meet; learn to love each other; even as Christ loves us, and be joined together as one flesh by God, the Father in holy matrimony; to live together on earth; to multiply and replenish the earth with a Godly seed until God separates them from each other by death .
The second most wonderful blessing that any of us as husbands could receive from God after we consider God's love for us, and the forgiveness of sin and eternal life, is the gift of a good wife and life partner.
Proverbs 31:10-31 - Who can find a virtuous woman? "
I did, Praise God!
“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;”Ephesians 5: 25
Colossians 3:19 - Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
1 Peter 3:7 - Likewise,
ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto
the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the
grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.for it;
Hebrews 13:4 - Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Ephesians 5:31 - For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Ephesians 5:33 - Nevertheless
let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself;
and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
