God's Promises When We Are Weak
By: Robert A. Searles
"He shall spare the poor and needy; and shall save the souls of the needy." Psalm 72: 13
"Fear thou not; for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isaiah 41: 10
"For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, fear not, I will help thee. Fear not thou worm, Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Lord God of Israel." Isaiah 41: 13,14
"Likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: But the spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Rom 8: 26
"And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be of the consolation. For we would, brethren, not have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, in so much that we despaired even of life. but we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead." 2 Cor 1: 7-9
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed, we are perplexed, but not in despair. persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed. Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body." 2 Cor 4: 7-10
"And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in persecutions, in distresses. for Christ's sake; for when I am weak then am I strong." 2 Cor 12: 9-10
