God's Promises When We Feel Dejected
By: Robert A. Searles
"Why art thou cast down, O my soul, and why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance." Psalm 42: 5
"Let Israel hope in the Lord, for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption." Psalm 130: 7
"Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light." Math 11:28,30
"Likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God." Rom 8, 26, 27
"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace, to help in time of need." Heb 4: 16
"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands ye sinners: and pureify your hearts ye double minded. Be afflicted and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." James 4: 8,9,10
