Give Unto the LORD!

We are instructed to give unto theLORD, but what do we have to offer to him that could ever come close to all that he has given to us?  If we will receive it by faith, he has given us the forgiveness for our sins by his death on the cross and his resurrection ; he has exchanged our sin for his righteousness; he has made provision for all that we will ever need and given us life more aboundant here on earth, and eternal everlasting life and a  home in heaven.  Nothing in our hands can we bring to him for all that he has done for us.  Every thing we have to use and enjoy  here on earth already belongs to him. "The earth is the LORD's and the fullnes thereof".  Yet, we are admonished to give unto the LORD. 

That which will please the LORD most is when we sincerely offer our body, mind, and soul for his service, and truly make him the first priority in our life, keeping our mind stayed on him, and worship and give him all the glory in spirit and in truth.

"(A Psalm of David.) Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.4The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon."
